Safety is FortisAlberta’s North Star. Our dedicated safety team consists of experienced specialists such as Training Specialists, Safety and Work Methods Advisors, and Health and Safety Advisors who ensure our employees have safety first and foremost in mind each and every day. Our safety team ensures FortisAlberta employees are trained experts in safety best practices, allowing them to deliver safe and reliable electricity to our customers. 

Our Safety professionals have extensive field experience and have a passion for ensuring FortisAlberta employees, clients, and customers are safe through continuous education and improvement opportunities. Successful candidates in these roles have demonstrated their commitment to safety through years of experience and professional development.

Sustainability, Environmental, and Indigenous Affairs 

FortisAlberta is committed to delivering electricity to our customers in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner.  Our Emerging Customers Solutions team includes engineers and business advisors exploring emerging opportunities for our customers, such as electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure, advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), and solutions for low-income customers. This team also includes our Sustainability, Environmental, and Indigenous Affairs group who work with customers and First Nations to prevent environmental incidents and ensure FortisAlberta’s projects have minimal environmental impact.

 Emerging Customers Solutions

Our Emerging Customer Solutions group works tirelessly to explore opportunities for FortisAlberta to work with Albertans to contribute to the decarbonization and incorporation of renewable energy sources into Alberta’s electrical distribution system. This group looks for candidates who share the same passion and are able to craft compelling business cases that ensure customers’ needs are met within the rapidly shifting electrical utility industry.
