DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Manager IT Infrastructure, the Sr Network Analyst – Collaboration Technologies will be involved in designing, implementing, and maintaining our collaboration systems to ensure seamless communication across the organization. The Sr. Network Analyst – Collaboration Technologies will have extensive experience with Telephone Communications Manager, Contact Centre System, voice gateways, SIP gateways, SIP trunks, Primary Rate Interface (PRI), enterprise conferencing solutions, and enterprise network infrastructure.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):
- Plan, design, and implement collaboration solutions including voice communication, contact centre systems, and Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) communication for upgrades and new systems.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for collaboration systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to collaboration technologies and network infrastructure.
- Plan, design and implement collaboration solutions with existing data center and enterprise network infrastructure.
- Monitor and optimize collaboration systems continuously for performance and reliability.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of collaboration technologies.
- Provide training and support to end-users on collaboration tools and technologies.
- Special projects and other duties, as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Proven verbal and written communication skills including the ability to clearly present information to various audiences in both formal and informal settings.

- Demonstrated ability to resolve issues by analyzing and evaluating possible solutions.
- Proficiency in Telephone Communications Manager - Dial Plan Management: CSS, Partitions, Translation Patterns, Route Patterns. SIP URI Routing: Understanding of SIP protocols and routing. Database Architecture: Knowledge of Publisher/Subscriber models and database replication.
- Proficiency in Contact Centre System - Call Routing and Scripting: Designing and managing call flows. Integration: Integrating with other unified communication components like Telephone Communication Managers.
- Proficiency in voice gateways, SIP gateways, SIP trunks, PRI and VOIP technologies and protocols.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Room and enterprise conferencing solutions setup, configuration, integration and operation.
- Solid understanding of data center and enterprise network infrastructure.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in administering network and collaboration technologies such as:
- Telephone Communications Manager
- Contact Centre System
- Voice gateways, SIP gateways, SIP trunks, PRI and VOIP technologies
- Microsoft Teams Room and enterprise conferencing solutions
- Data center and enterprise network infrastructure
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Must have valid driver license for the required travelling.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA Collaboration, CCNP Collaboration, or equivalent would be considered an asset.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS:
- This position will be required to participate in an on-call technical support rotation.
- Required to travel to other sites within FortisAlberta service territory
