FortisAlberta’s Information Technology groups include many IT professionals such as those in IT Security & Governance who ensure the integrity of the Company’s systems and data, Deskside Services, who provide direct support to internal clients on hardware and software issues, and Infrastructure and Architecture professionals who implement and maintain the programs and systems our business uses every day.

Our IT groups look for candidates who are not only technically skilled, but who are curious and natural problem solvers who can translate complicated technical information into business enabling systems and ensure these systems function effectively. 

Customer Solutions 

FortisAlberta’s Customer Solutions group is responsible for managing the information systems our customers use each day – such as maintaining and ensuring the integrity of electrical meter data, ensuring our customers are billed correctly, and that electrical distribution transaction data is accurate and delivered to energy market participants.

The Customer Solutions group looks for balanced individuals who possess both exceptional communication and customer service skills as well as demonstrated expertise at analyzing data, addressing data discrepancies, and finding solutions to ensure our customers and partners are provided with the correct information.

Business Solutions 

FortisAlberta’s Business Solutions groups include a variety of technical experts: our IT Project Management Office and Business Solutions teams continuously drive improvements to our IT systems. These groups play critical roles in maintaining our systems as well as examining data and working with business units to improve processes using new technologies.

Our Business Solutions teams look for candidates who are skilled at interpreting the needs of both internal stakeholders and external clients and customers. Further, to be successful in these groups candidates need to be able to design solutions tailored to their clients, then execute, implement, and maintain these solutions.
